Saudi Ground Services selects Oracle to modernize mobility ecosystem

SGS has a very ambitious vision of providing an end-to-end mobility ecosystem that caters for each customers' specific needs and requirements. This transformational journey has multiple layers and tracks of implementation, with the IT and technology infrastructure being at the heart of overall operations.

“SGS is the driving force behind the efficient and safe ground handling of over 96% of all aircraft and passenger operations across Saudi Arabia, and in order to further enhance the delivery and reliability of our services, we are focusing today on creating an agile, secure, and cost-effective IT infrastructure”, said Raed Al-Idrissi, acting CEO at SGS. “We look at the transition to the Oracle Cloud , which is offered to us by Oracle’s cloud region in the Kingdom, as a natural strategic and necessary step to securely meet our current and future requirements,” he also added.

Under this initiative, SGS will migrate its core IT systems to Oracle Cloud to drive high performance, ensure continuous availability of all systems, and access latest security systems to support the mission critical operations of the company.
