Cook Islands telecom provider to launch 4G+

Bluesky Cook Islands, the sole provider of fixed phone, mobile and broadband services to the Cook Islands, has increased the amount of satellite capacity it is using from SES Networks, in order to launch 4G+ service to Rarotonga and Aitutaki, the two key cities of the island nation.

US search engine giant Google has formally announced its plans to launch its innovative free public Wi-Fi initiative in Indonesia following the success of the program in India. Google's Wi-Fi project is entitled Google Station and it has been heralded as a brilliant success in India, since debuting in the region eighteen months ago.

Vodafone Australia takes action to deliver better broadband

Vodafone Australia unveiled plans to deliver "much needed simplicity" and service innovation for customers connecting to the nbn ("Australia's new broadband network" replacing parts of the existing phone and internet infrastructure) in a bid to lift the fixed broadband experience in the country.
