stc deploys region’s first state-of-the-art 5G Smart Campus

This state-of-the-art solution will be used to enable many industrial 5G use cases and is expected to deliver an unprecedented quality of services to its business and personal customers.

The 5G Smart Campus Network is the entry point of stc’s ongoing effort to provide vertical industries in the Kingdom with 5G-powered services. Completing the first deployment of this 5G-connected Smart Campus will allow stc to deliver high standard service experience guarantees.

With high throughput and very low latency, Smart Campus will facilitate the introduction of intelligent applications and advanced use cases such as: 5G CCTV, Cloud PC (office Application), cloud gaming, cloud VR (collaboration and training),  5G live broadcasting backpack, AR remote assistance and drone inspection in 5G, delivering a more enhanced customer experience compared to existing public networks.

Using the new live 5G smart Campus initiative, stc aim to continue with its aspirational plans incubating new 5G use cases, particularly focusing on the Enterprise market to deliver scalability and future proof services. stc successfully completed this prominent accomplishment in a strong partnership with Huawei.

The new Smart Campus will facilitate the introduction of different service standards for enterprises, Oil rigs, gas exploration, educations, medical treatment, mining, and other industries with diversified and remote infrastructure to resolve challenges related to: capacity, density, coverage, security, high operational cost, and complex management.
