    Smartphone vendors Blackberry have officially unveiled a state-of-the-art autonomous vehicle innovation center. The fabulous new faculty will be housed within its QNX facility which is located in Ottawa, Canada. The ultimate purpose and vision for the center is to develop production-ready software aimed at accelerating the adoption of connected and self-driving vehicles.

  • BlackBerry launches free SCMS service

    BlackBerry has launched a security credential management system(SCMS) that will provide a mechanism for vehicles, infrastructure and traffic management centres to exchange information using digital certificates.It is based on BlackBerry’s own Certicom technology and offers a secure and reliable hosted public key infrastructure (PKI), managing certificates on behalf of an organisation or an entire ecosystem.

  • Ford expands agreement with BlackBerry for use of its security software

    BlackBerry recently announced an agreement signed with Ford Motor Company for expanded use of BlackBerry's QNX and security software. The deal signifies an acceleration in BlackBerry's pivot from hardware to software in support of the automaker's goal of providing connected vehicles and mobility to its customers.
