US city implements KT’s 1Gbps wireless technology

The first line of South Korean telecom provider KT's innovative 'GiGa Wire' technology has been installed in the United States. The technology can get internet speeds of up to 1Gbps, with plain copper wire and without any fiber-optic cable. KT signed an MoU with the city of Boston, Massachusetts, in June, for the implementation of the new technology.

US city deploys ‘smart technology’ in bid to improve road safety and mobility

A US city has announced that it will introduce 'smart city' technology in a bid to transform the safety of its road infrastructure. Officials in the City of Atlanta have confirmed that technology developed by US firm Applied Information (AI) will be deployed across the city in an effort to connect traffic signals, emergency vehicles and school zone safety flashers to the Internet of Things.

Telenor expands Global IPX footprint in Miami and Ashburn

Telenor announced the establishment of two new points of presence (PoP) in North America to meet customer demands in a high traffic region by enabling Voice and IPX based services, including LTE based signaling and data roaming. The two US PoPs add to the Telenor network which now includes 14 locations across North America, Europe and Asia.
