Huawei and Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) jointly released the cloud security service management guide at the CSA APAC 2018 summit held in Singapore. As the technical director of the Cyber Security and User Privacy Protection Business Management Dept. of Huawei Products & Solutions, Dr. Chen Kai, President of the CSA Cloud Security Service Management (CSSM) Working Group (WG), delivered a speech at the summit and released the guide.
Ericsson, together with Ciena and Australian telecom provider Telstra, has successfully trialed continuous data encryption while maintaining speed and reliability over 21,940 km across multiple cable systems. The engineering teams demonstrated the ability to encrypt data securely while in transit between Los Angeles and Melbourne at 100Gbps, using Ciena's ultra-low latency 100 Gigabit wire-speed encryption solution.

A leading Japanese multinational IT services provider has setup a security operations center in California as part of its effort to combat against the rising number of cybersecurity attacks and hacking scandals currently blighting the IT sector. NEC Corporation announced that specialized security company Infosec Corporation which is owned by the NEC Group will open the center in Santa Clara, California. It is expected that the construction on this new project will start in April, 2017.
